I know I am super slow in my updates for my recent trip ㅎㅎㅎ So sad that I couldn't finish my updates in time before flying off. Anyway, I might not be updating much for this upcoming trip since its going to be the same places.  Got to go now. Wishing everyone a happy weekend ^^

7 Sep 2014 - Back to my favourite place on Chuseok night

Heading out to my favourite place in Seoul ^^
Grabbed some chips and drink at Express Bus Terminal on my way to the bridge.

Somebody called out to me and I wondered who could it be.
It was my Japanese classmates.
I was glad to have somebody sharing these sinful food with me ㅋㅋㅋ
I will never get tired of this place.
There was a mini fireworks in the middle of the river when I reached here.
 Maybe becos it was Chuseok?

7 Sep 2014 - Succulent eggplants for Chuseok brunch!

Its Chuseok today!
I decided to spend my time studying becos there will be a test when class resume on 11 Sep.
Here's my brunch for the day.

I dun like eggplants cos I dun like its texture lol
But I trained myself to eat them cos they are healthy food.
Bought some eggplants from Emart at Yongsan Station when I visited Yongsan Pojangmacha.
I stir-fried the marinated minced pork with chopped garlic and sliced chillies.
Followed by the eggplants and some sauce.

Just a simple fare ^^
The eggplants was so succulent!
Totally unexpected!
View from where I stayed.
Nice and sunny weather for Chuseok ^^
Time for some revision before I head down to my favourite place in Seoul ^^

6 Sep 2014 - So so delicious 떡볶이 at 현선이네 ^^

I took the subway to Yongsan station for my dinner at 용산포장마차골목 Yongsan Pojangmacha. Get out from exit 1 and walk towards your 1 o'clock direction. Yongsan Pojangmacha is somewhere there, as indicated by the arrow.
Cross the road.
Yongsan Pojangmacha is less than 5 mins walk from Yongsan Station, exit 1.
현선이네 was the first stall I saw.  It had the longest queue.
You can click here for more pictures of the food available.
I reached here before 7pm. The place was relatively quiet.
Was it becos it was the eve of Chuseok??

I am not sure if there is any other Pojangmacha as big as this in Seoul. Do share with me if you know of any Pojangmacha that is worth making a trip ^^

Finally, I decided to settle on 현선이네 for dinner.

I ordered 안떡 although I was not sure what is 안떡. I only know 안떡 consisted of tteok and some fried stuff. My guess is 안떡 is not spicy tteok, while 맵떡 could be spicy tteok. Well, its just a wild guess. I asked my Korean teacher what is 안떡 but she was not sure as well...
Taking a peep to see if there's anymore seat left.

Put back your own tray before you leave.
This portion is stated for one person but I think its just nice for two persons ㅋㅋㅋ
Omgggg the sauce was so nice!
Many Koreans requested extra sauce.
I don't really fancy Tteokbokki but this was so yummy!
Hmmm....안떡...The sauce was a bit spicy actually.
If this is spicy, than what is 안떡??
The route I took from Yongsan Station, exit 1.
Less than 5 mins walk to reach ^^

6 Sep 2014 - Getting back to Seoul from Baengmagoji Station

Our city tour bus reached Baengmagoji Station at 3.46pm. The DMZ train left at 4.06pm sharp. We passed by Yeoncheon Station and were allowed to get off the train to check out the local market.

I couldn't understand why there were so many Koreans busy snapping picture of this structure.
Ermmm...I didn't understand but I took a picture of it too ㅎㅎㅎ

Just did an online search and learnt that this is Yeoncheon Station Water Supply Tower.
Woww a local band!
As soon as the band started playing, the 아저씨 on the left walked up to the band, dropped his haversack and started dancing. The other 아저씨 joined in the fun not long later.  Both have different momentum for the same piece of music ㅋㅋㅋ

This is a very very small local market, right beside the train station.

I think we were given about 15mins to check out the place.
The crews called out to all passengers to get back to the train.
Back on the train, they prepared games and quizes for passengers to participate.
The crew also went around taking pictures and they will select the best picture.
Winners get to win some vouchers.
We reached Seoul Station at 6.36pm. Thank you ladies for the hard work. If I have a chance again, I would love to take the DMZ train to explore other parts of DMZ ^^
